Meet Carrie

AFAA/NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Barre Above, Spin, Kickboxing and Pilates Group Fitness Instructor

Carrie was first certified as an AFAA Group Fitness Instructor back in 2004 while getting her master's at Emerson College. What she thought then was just a side hustle to help pay for her degree, turned into a passion that has transformed her life and changed her career path. After grad school, Carrie kept up with her fitness certifications and continued to teach classes. Wherever she and her husband moved, Carrie would find a studio or gym to teach at! She did a stint at HealthWorks in Cambridge, MA (Porter Square) and at Equinox in Chicago (Lincoln Park) as well as some time at Crunch in NYC (Upper West Side) before moving to Andover, MA to raise a family. Carrie has now been in Andover for more than nine years and has taught at Spark Fitness and Tennis Club, Cedardale Health and Fitness in Haverhill, and has currently been at the Andover YMCA for more than six years. Along the way Carrie got certified in, Group Exercise, Barre, Spin, Kickboxing, Strength Training, and Pilates and earned her NASM Personal Training Certification. She is currently studying for certification number seven, her yoga teacher certification. Carrie also has an in-home personal training studio in Andover where she sees clients one-on-one and in groups. When she's not teaching fitness classes you can find her out for a run (she's completed five marathons) or downhill skiing! And don't forget to ask her about the two children's books she's published!
